Summer Smoothies

Looking for something refreshing AND healthy this summer?  Cool down and get fruits and vegetables in your diet with these great Smoothie Recipes adapted from Real Simple and  FitnessMagazine:

Carrot Pineapple Smoothie

 

Makes 2 Servings

1/2 banana
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/3 cup orange juice
1/2 cup pineapple
1 cup plain low-fat yogurt
½ cup ice cubes








Combine all ingredients in blender, and blend till smooth.

Honeydew-Kiwifruit Smoothie

 

 Makes 3 Servings

2 cups honeydew
1 Granny Smith apple
1 peeled kiwifruit
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup ice cubes




 Cut up honeydew, apple, and kiwifruit, combine all ingredients in blender, and blend till smooth.
