Share it now.

Summer Restaurant Week in Boston has official launched! From Sunday, Aug. 19 - Friday, Aug. 24 & Sunday, Aug. 26 - Friday, Aug. 31, diners can enjoy 3-course dinner for $33.12, 3-course lunch for $20,12, or 2-course "light" lunch (entree and appetizer or dessert) for $15.12. With more than 200 participating restaurants serving everything from French to Japanese cuisine, you are bound to find a place that caters to your taste bud.

If you want to enjoy Restaurant Week without feeling too stuffed after every meal, follow these tips from Bon'App to keep your waistline small and your wallet full!

1. Go for lunch
Although the selection of restaurants is limited, there are still many great options for lunch at less than half the price of dinner if you choose the "light" lunch option. You will save money as well as calories, so it's a win-win situation!
Bon'App recommends...Roasted Eggplant & Cheese Ravioli in Tomato basil sauce and Grape & Gorgonzola Salade OR Dark Chocolate Mousse from Sandrine's Bistro.
2. Eat in moderation
A full 3-course meal is a lot of food. Remember that you don't have to finish everything on the plate. Ask the server if you could have the dessert to-go or pack the leftover for lunch the next day.
Bon'App recommends...Pan Seared Diver Scallops, Pan Roasted Scottish Salmon, and Red Fruit Tasting Plate of Frozen Pomogranate Parfait from Meritage.
3. Pair your meal with soup or salad
If you order an entree heavy in protein (i.e. steak, lamb, chicken, etc.), opt for something lighter for appetizer to balance out your meal. After all, if you order a steak tartare for an appetizer and filet Mignon for an entree, you might be too full to enjoy your dining experience.

Bon'App recommends...Chilled Summer Corn Soup with Avocado and Jumbo Lump Crab, Pan Roasted Free Range Chicken Breast, and Chocolate Devils Food Cake with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, from Mistral.
