Veggie burgers were originally created for vegetarians so that they can enjoy the BBQ season without feeling left out. Nowadays, however, even carnivores embrace these meatless patties made from soy, beans, mushrooms, or other vegetables because they tend to be lower in bad fat and calories, contain less or no preservatives, and are rich in fiber.

At 90 calories, 6g of fiber, and 15g of protein per serving, the All American Classic Meatless Burgers from Boca has the lowest calories and the highest grams of fiber and protein out of all the Bon'Approved veggie burgers. These Boca burgers are also a good source of calcium and have 60 percent less fat (1g of bad fat) than a ground beef hamburger.

Garden Veggie Patties from Morningstar Farms 

The Garden Veggie Patties blend a variety of vegetables, including mushrooms, green and red bell peppers, onion, carrots, black olives, and water chestnuts, with brown rice and rolled oats. Each serving has 110 calories, 1g of bad fat, 3g of fiber, and 10g of protein.

All American Veggie Burgers from Amy's

Made from fresh organic grains, vegetables, and protein rich soy, the All American Veggie Burgers from Amy's are perfect for grilling. Though slightly higher in calories than other veggie burgers at 140 calories, these patties have 0g of bad fat, 4g of fiber, and 13g of protein.
